Foot treatments that can improve blood circulation include compression therapy, massages, and foot exercises. 🩺 | ⚕️
Compression therapy
Compression stockings are tight socks that squeeze your legs to improve blood flow and reduce swelling.
They can help with pain and swelling caused by poor circulation, such as chronic venous insufficiency and varicose veins.
Compression stockings can also help prevent varicose veins.
You should speak to your doctor before wearing compression stockings, as they can irritate your skin or cause pain if they don’t fit properly.
Massages
Massaging your feet can help improve circulation.
Foot exercises
You can try spreading your toes out as much as you can, curling them downward, and then lifting them up towards the ceiling.
You can repeat this exercise 10 to 15 times, switching sides as you go.
Other tips
If you have diabetes, you should get your feet checked by a doctor or podiatrist at least once a year.
You should eat a balanced diet that includes green leafy vegetables, whole fruits, and protein-, fat-, or fiber-rich carbohydrates.
